Exhibition produced by Dubrovnik Museums, Maritime Museum
The exhibition is dedicated to Dubrovnik's sailors from the period of the Dubrovnik Republic, who for centuries stood their watch on the ships of the Republic. With their dedicated work at home and abroad they contributed to the advancement of seafaring and prepared the way for the city to flourish culturally and economically. Many of them left a great mark on Dubrovnik maritime history, as naval strategists, admirals, successful ship owners and masters, skilled merchants, politicians and diplomats. They made great reputations for themselves by their professional scientific and cultural work.
