The exhibition has been produced by Dubrovnik Museums, Museum of Contemporary History

 

The exhibition was organised as part of the commemorations of the centenary of the First World War; in the period between 2014 and 2018, these will include a large number of projects by diverse European and world institutions.

The exhibition presents original archival material from the collections of Dubrovnik Museums, the Archives of the Dubrovnik Diocese and from the State Archives in Dubrovnik.

In addition, many citizens of the town have lent for the exhibition their own original photographs, picture postcards and ordinary postcards that tell of the grievous circumstances that Dubrovnik and surroundings went through during the war.

The exhibition in the Rupe Granary will be on view until the end of February.
