The collection of materials for memoirs comprises writings that relate to the memories of members of the Communist Party, combatants in the National Liberation War of 1941-1945, and to the post-war period, as well as of Croatian soldiers and civilians from the Dubrovnik area taken into captivity in the Homeland War.

Memories connected with the activity of the Communist Party and the NLW include six hundred and twenty sets of writings of a memoir nature. There are also two hundred and twelve sets of recollections from the Homeland War period.

These memories most of all relate to the statements of captured Croatian soldiers and civilians from Konavle, Cavtat, Župa dubrovačka and Dubrovačko primorje who, from 1991 to 1992, were taken to the camps of Morinj, Kumbor and Bileća. The collection holds all told eight hundred and thirty two sets of memoir materials.
