The Best in Heritage – Influential Projects

31.08.2016 - 30.09.2016

Other exhibitions

The Best in Heritage – Influential Projects is the title of an exhibition of prize-winning museum, heritage and conservation projects related to the conference of the same name that is held in Dubrovnik at the end of September. All told, there are 44 projects from all over the world, all of them award-winners in the last year.

The exhibition offers a survey of prize-winners that are part of the programme of the 15th conference in the series The Best in Heritage, to be held from September 22 to September 24 in Dubrovnik, and is conceived as a kind of prolegomenon to the conference.  It is also the public aspect of the project, for it presents the best productions to people not taking part in the conference.,

This project has from its beginnings enjoyed the high patronage of the world museum organisation ICOM  or the International Council of Museums. Since 2009 it has been organised in partnership with the leading European heritage organisation, Europa Nostra, and since 2014 it has had the support of the EU programme Creative Europe.  The city of Dubrovnik and Dubrovnik Museums are the local partners of the conference.

The exhibition is presented on panels  on the gallery of the Rector’s Palace, and         it will be available to visitors of the Cultural History Museum of Dubrovnik Museums throughout September.
